cannot import CAD to 3dsmax

Hi, i have a problem my AutoCad 2008 cannot open in 3dsmax8, when i try to import it there is an error..?anybody have a solution.

It can most likely be a compatability issue. Try saving the CAD file into a different version and try it again. I have that issue alot with older versions of programs.

Yeah, '04 or r14 versions work best for me, and we use '06 CAD with Max '08

i see so i must use Cad 06, but i must can work in vista too.

WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO IMPORT? .DWG OR .3DS? SHOULDNT BE ANY PROBLEM, I DO IMPORT ALL THE TIME FROM ACAD 2007 TO MAX 9.
