Lightwave and Maya work flow
Posted 24-Jan-2008 9:43 AM

We have some really talented people working here, the new problem we have is we are Lightwave based and have some really great Maya animators on staff. I want to model in Lightwave animate in Maya and import it all back into Lightwave to Light and Render the scene. Is anyone familiar with this type of workflow. I have heard of many people doing this but no one has offered any info. I did find one place that seemed like they had it figured out "the Spread" but we could not get it to work at all. Anyone have other ideas?

Good Morning.

You need to take a look at COLLADA.

Yes,  try the FBX Format, it should work out pretty good for your workflow.

Thanks everyone, for your input. We really appreciate it. I think we will try the Point Oven plugin first. Thanks again!
