Does the idea of teamwork and communication as the foundations of success sound good to you? Our client is a growing game developer composed of industry veterans from major developers and publishers, located two blocks from the Pacific Ocean in the heart of Venice Beach, California. They are now on the hunt for a creative and innovative Level Designer/Scripter for their next adventure title for the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PSP, and DS. Using your excellent knowledge of the development process from concept to final product completion, stretch your creative muscles in producing highly imaginative titles! Create exciting and entertaining ideas and work with some of the most experienced artists and programmers in the field!

What You Will Be Doing:
- Collaborating with and maintaining a positive working relationship with other team members.
- Working with a proven cutting-edge existing multi-platform engine.
- Collaborating with the team on various aspects of the game and communicating effectively with less technically-oriented team members

What You Will Be Bringing:
- Strong LUA scripting
- Mid-range experience (3-5 years)
- Maya experience, or familiarity with any 3D package required.
- Excellent leadership, communication and people-management skills
- Ability to task, schedule and review design team's output
- Competence with scheduling software, prototyping tools, scripting tools, source control, bug-tracking,   and documentation.
- Understanding of and/or experience with level scripting, AI behavior scripting, and basic programming a plus.
- Ability to interact with software engineers to foster an ongoing appreciation and understanding of the technical implications of design. Create design specifications that are technically realistic, elegant, and effective.
- Ability to apply both creativity and a critical/analytical understanding of the psychology of video gaming to design game systems that elegantly and effectively meet the goals specified in the project vision.
- Ability to consistently interact with production, programming, and art staff to ensure that developed content and functionality meet the design specifications. Credited work as a scripter/level designer on at least one shipped console title (multiple shipped console titles is a bonus)
- Self-drive, team player skills, and ability to be motivator
- Ability to focus and to manage one's own time in order to meet milestones
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently within short development cycles and strict deadlines
- A passion for games and game development

What They Will Like:
- Programming experience in C/C++

What You Will Need:
- A full resume, preferably with a portfolio to be considered for this position.
- Proof of legal right to work in the United States.

Location/Relocation:
This is onsite, fulltime position located in Los Angeles, CA. Relocation assistance WILL BE provided for candidates located within the United States.

Salary:
- $60-70k Base + Bonus + Full Benefits
