need help with the 'shell' command in Autocad 2007
Posted 17-Dec-2007 12:57 PM

I have tried to use the 'shell' command on many solids but it never seems to work, it doesn't seem to do anything, not even to a simple box solid.

I followed all the prompts as explained in the help menu but still no luck.

This command will save me hours of drawing time if it works so any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanx

I THOUGHT SHELL MODIFIER WAS FOR MAX ONLY, I JUST DID AUTOCAD SHELLING IN A SIMPLE BOX SOLID AND WORKS FINE, MAYBE YOUR DOING SOMETHING WRONG.

Yeah i got it working trying it out on a simple shape again. the object im trying to use it for is too complex i assume, consisting of about 20 faces half of which are curved around splines and arcs.

Not to worry i know a couple of slow and tedious ways to work around this.

Thanx anyway
