hi, i planned to purchase a:m, i mainly need it to animate character models for 3d games.
i need to know if a:m can do the following: a)import a *.3ds model with textures,
b) bone it
c) animate it and
d) export it to either *.x (naimated), *.dae (collada) or fbx (filmbox)

thank you, i couldn't find the answer in the official forums.

A, B, & C the answer is yes...D, I do not know for sure.

thank you, but d ist the most important part. and i finally found warnings in the a:m forums not to deal with triangulated models and 3ds files in general for animation. so i will stay away and go with carrara. tx for your answer.
