We have posted two projects on Elance.com for creating a plugin for 3D animation software package and creating a DirectX 3D engine that will animate a humanoid model performing an activity outlined in our data file(s). The data file(s) contain human body segments lengths, 3D positional (displacement) coordinates, and other information not required for animation. The files are similar to motion capture files, but were created before motion capture became popular, so they are not of any standard motion capture data file format.

The 3D animation plugin will import the data file(s), scale the humanoid model to the indicated segment lengths, and animate the model according to the 3D positional coordinates. There are data points for every frame in the animation, so no keyframe interpolation will be required. A plugin is required, rather than a single animation, as we have multiple files of different performance with performers of different sizes that need to be animated.

The DirectX 3D engine needs to be incorporated into our software application and will import the data file(s), scale the humanoid model to the indicated segment lengths, and animate the model according to the 3D positional coordinates for overlay on video (2 orthogonal view windows) for comparison. There are data points for every frame in the animation, so no keyframe interpolation will be required. The engine will be used to create comparison models to compare a person's actual performance the animated performance.
