It depends entirely on the work involved and time needed. A single model can take anything from a couple of days to a couple of months to make.  To be honest, I'm reluctant to quote any figures on this website, because it's all too easy for a competitor to undercut. Professionals hiring artists should be well aware of the going rate.

Here are some sample pages to get an idea of current average rates in the UK & USA. Note that most people are getting a fair amount less than the average, which is pushed up a few extremely well paid individuals.
