Swift 3d? Is it worth it?
Posted 06-Aug-2006 6:34 AM

Hi am a relativly new to the world of 3D and this site. I was just wondering if anyone out there is really using Swift 3D?
Based on what I see out here, there dosn't seem to be allot about it? I am just looking for tutorials, discussions/advice and/or maybe some models. Am I looking in the wrong places? Do I need a secret handshake or is it really special ed (in the 3D world) and I just need to get a real program?

Have you tried a Google search for tutorials? If there are any for Swift 3D, that should turn them up.

This link to Electric Rain might get you started: Electric Rain Swift 3D Tutorials

I haven't seen anyone selling Swift 3D models here; in fact, I haven't heard about that program in quite some time.

I use Swift 3D.  It is good for simple animations, but if you convert to Swift 3D format, you cannot export it to any other format.  It is a one-way street.  I had to make a model all over again in Milkshape because of that.
