Selling a tutorial for combustion?
Posted 29-May-2006 10:40 PM

Hi guys. First time post

I created a scene awhile back in combustion where a rocket was launched from a fake bazooka and collided into the ground.

I ended up using a particle system in Cinema 4d. I recreated the lighting of the scene in 3D so that the smoke would match up in color of the footage.  Lastly, footage from ArtBeats for the explosion. I used combustion Composite this, to mask off parts of the shooter, but most importantly, make the smoke/explosion interact with the scene. It accurately is reflected onto the ground, lights up, and even tracks with the wobbly camera. When the explosion hits, it emits light on its surroundings, etc etc

Its not the BEST looking, but in my opinion, the only thing better would be the real thing.

What im curious is, would a tutorial like that be allowed to sell here? I wouldnt ask anything outrageous, but all i see are 3D tutorials for sale. Well that, and the fact its application specific from my end, however if you are familliar enough to create a particle system in your 3D app, you could easily replicate it.

Any thoughts? advice?

Thanks in advance.
