It's a bit problematic because many ... i-parts are generated by companies selling parts to engineers as part of a 3D catalog. The free ones uploaded by individuals are intended to be used by engineers in their commercial projects but I doubt that those were meant to be marketed here by other people who download them for free.
Also since the files are parametric, models generated can be easily radically changed by people who buy them and re-published as their own work.
I'm not saying it can't work only TS does not seem to be too interested in the engineering side of the 3D universe. Those diciplines use Inventor, Solidworks, Pro-Engineer as well as 3dsmax and other vis packages but some are still cadding solids in autocad. I don't think there is a single ipt or iam file uploaded so for now there is just no demand for inventor files.
