Help! I have a route....I can create stuff in gmax [sort of!]  among which a overpass made up of three slabs textured in cement from Paint Shop Pro 7.  I think I have created an sd. file and cement ace file[that I used to texture with].  By calling up lod and clicking on create s file I have an .s file, I think.  And I can call it up in shape viewer and presto it appears!!!.....[Finally!!!!]  But when I go to use route editor to place it on my route using placement and F5 nothing happens.   Can anyone help in where I can go from here??????  Thanks  Rowland

I am not positive, but I think you need to make an entry in the "route".ref file. That worked for me and then my object showed in the objects list in the route editor.

Hi  Lou  Thanks for your reply.  I apologize that I was a little unclear.  It did appear as an object in the placement file.  Working on it this morning, I discovered my object in the route....actually quite a few of them!  one for every time I clicked after setting F5!  But only when I zoom in and get really close!  I had put "50" in the LOD distance box.  I assume that is fine as one of many levels of  distance....but I have only one.....so I'll try putting a much larger number in and see if that works. Thanks again for your reply. Lou
