gmax help

I can successfully execute GMAX, but do not know what to do to create a 3D model of a railroad car, so when I go to HELP, nothing shows up to help me. Why? There are no HELP screens or HELP information. Also, how do I use gmax12_help.exe. When I execute it, it unzips 3 files which I am unfamiliar with. How do these files apply to HELP?

The Help file is very general and not game specific...they HELP you to understand gMax. For tutorials specifically for TrainSim, look here:

http://steam4me.railpage.org.au/trainsim/tutorials/index.html

Also chech the message board at:

http://forums.flightsim.com/ts/dcboard.php

If you did not install to the default location, C:\gmax, the Help files gmax.chm, gmax_t.chm, maxscript.chm and maxscript.lim, may not be where they need to be. The default location for them is C:\gmax\Help Check your Paths, under Customize and make sure the path points correctly to where you installed the Help files after you find them or move them to where they need to be. You should also be able to open them outside gMax through Window Explorer by double clicking on them.

Both Help and Tutorial files are seperate downloads that you can get from the same location as where you got your GMAX installation file. Once you downloaded them, install them in your GMAX folder.
