how to skin
Posted 05-Jan-2006 8:08 PM

Does anyone know any tutorials on skinning/texturing maps and models for Quake3 and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory? W:ET is supported by the Quake3 tempest right? They both use md3 and pk3 files, so I think it might be the same thing. Anyway, all I need are tutorials on skinning for Quake3Engine based games since they use nearly the same format.

Thanks in adnvance.

Tempest is for doing maps for Quake-3 without MODs only. It is not for any other games that uses Quake-3.

On the other hand, for doing models, you don't kneed Tempest. All you need is the MD3 exporter plugin. There is a link in the Tips/Tricks forum section (under Chris Cookson) that will give you the latest version of this plugin.

As for tutorials, you can start with these :

http://www.jaquays.com/gameart/index.htm
