This site showed me how to use the fix normals program:
http://www.davidhsmith.net/Gmax_to_UnrealEd.htm
The fixed .md3 will still not load in LithUnwrap, though it will load in the sequel, Ultimalte unwrap3d.

My problem is that unless I choose all polygons before uvwmap, the resulting map in either Lith or Ulti has spagetti: lots of extra lines/vertices. I want to map only a side of the object, not the backfaces, so I check ignore backfaces....this gives me the spagetti (not seen in gmax's unwrapuvw, but seen in lith). Any ideas?
Thanks
AZP
