New Turbo Squid Forum System
On April 27, 2005 we launched a totally revamped message forum system. Please let us know what we did right and wrong as well as make new feature suggestions to improve the forums in the future. A brief list of new features:
- Image attachments - You can upload an attachment image to a post.
- Avatars - You can upload an avatar image that will display with each of your posts.
- Forum Subscription emails - This feature allows you to have an email subscription to a forum or individual discussion threads.
- Thread Email Subscription - You receive an email each time a message is posted to a thread you have subscribed to. You can subscribe to a thread by pressing the "Subscribe to Thread" button that is displayed with each thread. If you don't see the button, it means you are logged off or you are already subscribed to the thread. To cancel a thread subscription, either press the "Unsubscribe" link in your email or use the Forum Preference page.
- Forum Email Subscription - You receive emails for messages posted in an entire forum. You can subscribe to a forum by pressing the "Subscribe to Forum" button that is displayed in a thread list or by using the Forum Preferences page. If you don't see the button, it means you are logged off or you are already subscribed to the forum. To cancel a forum subscription, either press the "Unsubscribe" link in your email or use the Forum Preference page.
- "Digest" option - You receive ONE forum subscription email per day containing links to threads that were posted to the day before.
- "All Posts" option - When a message is posted to the forum, you are immediatly sent an email conatining the content of the post and a link to the thread.
- "WYSIWYG" editor - Microsoft Internet Explorer users have the option to post their messages using different fonts, bolding, underline, etc.
- Message Filtered by Age - You can now select messages that were posted within the length of time that you choose.
