seriesioo, first by checking the forum for a specific thread that talks about the -h problem

Try to calm down. Geting exicted or angry about any kind of computer problems will prevent you from properly investigating how to fix it.  Also, generaly speaking, geting an answer to any questions here is between 1-3 days. There are no one constantly watching the forums to reply as soon as possible.

I know you are not angry at me or us, just angry at the software. Nowadays, it happens easily to have problems with a PC or software. The trick is to know where to look for help.

The secret to maintaining your composure when your PC takes a long coffee break and doesn't come back ....

go to the bookstore and find a very informational book YOU can comprehend when reading (from $15 - $75 but well worth the money) on general PC repair and program issues.  Even better if you can find one that covers the Windows programs in your PC.

It really helps to have something on PAPER, that can walk you through "all the places to look" without having a degree in computer programming!  A simple typo error in instructions or lack of proper installation directions can cause many a temper to flare.

I learned this after pitching a new hard drive out into the front yard one day many years ago (the days of DOS without plug+play) ..... dirt and two chow dogs made it beyond repairable after I calmed down.

Have you thought of making a permanent locked thread that addresses this issue with "step by step" troubleshooting process for registration issues?   It is very confusing when you get all kinds of different directions & incorrect or outdated (EA.com for one) info from the game suppliers vs your site's info.   This will make my third time having to uninstall and install because of their terrible information!

Sorry I cannot accept this. Links to external sites that are not official are not recommanded. I am not considering you as a hacker or warez, it is simply a principle to be adapted no matter whom it is. Besides this link here already has all the solutions.

Hi,
I've registered gmax some time ago.
Now I'm reinstalling it after a PC upgrade. How do I recover my code or get it resent?
The link given in:

"[...], you simply have to go to THIS turbosquid page and it WILL give you a new registration key right there."

just redirects to the man support search page. No code shown.
Is there a legitimate way to get my code back, or do I need to get workaround methods working?

This is the answer I received from my Turbosquid ticket concerning the link to the registration code (Reference #080402-000330 ) :

During the support system changeover, this functionality was removed,
but we are looking into having this restored. For the time being, users
should create a support ticket if they do not receive a registration
email. In this support ticket, they should provide the email address
under which they have requested a Gmax code. With this info, we can
retrieve their ID codes.

Someone might like to update this site. The instructions given by the threadstarter are invalid. I haven't recieved my registration code or whatever it's called, and all the links I've been given lead to nowhere.  I'm not surprised though. Every single forum I've registered for, or product I've attempted to activate over years of internet surfing has turned into some kind of fiasco. Years of smooth sailing for sites and companies has all come to an abrpt end when I attempt to register/activate something.

Can I please have this code? Or can someone sort something out for us? Please?

Hey there. I was looking at using GMax for creating aircraft of my own for use with Microsoft Flight Simulator X (not the deluxe edition), but when I tried to install GMax (I downloaded from this site), it tells me that it cannot find the registration key, and then abruptly shuts down the installer. I got my key fine when I registered, but this is happening when I click the first "next" button, and it gives me no wheres to put it in. Do you have any idea why this is acting this way? P.S. I have tried the workarounds, but the second one has a problem archiving. I have attached a picture.

First, is this Windows Vista ?  If so, GMAX is not supported nor garanteed to work on Vista.

Second, have you tried the followings :

to get a registration code go to http://www.turbosquid.com/RegisterGmax/Index.cfm .  You will have to fill in some forms sections and upon clicking SUBMIT, it will bring you to another page where the registration code will be shown on-screen. Copy/paste and use it.

- if for any reasons, all suggestions do not provide you with a registration code, then read the TurboSquid instructions below:
