Registration code not working or didn't arrived ?

*** Updated August-22 2007 *** This procedure has been re-written again as it seams some people have problems with this. Now in its simplest form, here is what you do : 1) Register on TurbosquidRegister as a new member in Turbosquid via this LINK
2) Geting the registration code If this is for someone who doesn't have Internet
- Go get all the GMAX files ( Eula, GMAX, Help files, Tutorials, textures) from http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax - get the well known and accepted workaround to get the registration HERE or HERE
- Burn all of this on a CD and give it to your friend. - Have him install GMAX by executing the installation file. Run the Help files installation and install it at his .../GMAX folder. Run the Tutorial installation file and install it at his .../GMAX folder.
- Have him open the Registry workaround (first unzip it and then open it). (don't start GMAX before that) - Have him run GMAX to confirm that it is ok.
If this is for you or anyone having internet connection - Go get all the GMAX files ( Eula, GMAX, Help files, Tutorials, textures) from http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax
- Install GMAX by executing the installation file. Run the Help files installation and install it at your .../GMAX folder. Run the Tutorial installation file and install it at your .../GMAX folder. - to get a registration code go to http://www.turbosquid.com/RegisterGmax/Index.cfm . You will have to fill in some forms sections and upon clicking SUBMIT, it will bring you to another page where the registration code will be shown on-screen. Copy/paste and use it.
- if for any reasons, all suggestions do not provide you with a registration code, then read the TurboSquid instructions below: 04/03/2008 12:02 PM
During the support system changeover, this functionality was removed,
but we are looking into having this restored. For the time being, users
should create a support ticket if they do not receive a registration
email. In this support ticket, they should provide the email address
under which they have requested a Gmax code. With this info, we can
retrieve their ID codes.

- start GMAX and then enter that code you copied from that last link - if it still doesn't want to work, then get the well known and accepted workaround to get the registration HERE or HERE If none of this helps you, then report back here with your PC configuration : - Which windows ?- Which service pack ? - DirectX version - video card version and driver version - how much PC memory- is your PC clock showing real time and not like in the past or in the future ? - any firewall or anti-virus ?- is it a desktop or a laptop ?
[update done April-16 2008] : link to get a new registration code has changed. I fixed my instructions. [update done June-24 2008] : changed procedure a bit to get registration code when all fails.

I understand that all its not a problem. And i looked at my email, and I wasnt sent the registration verivacation, and I looked and made sure my email address was correct on the site and it is. So how am i supposed to get this code if they arnt sending the email to me? |

Well you initial post was mentioning that you didn't know where to look for the registration code. That implied that you hadn't started GMAX yet.
Now you are saying you didn't received it. I assume you finaly ran GMAX and sent to the registration site. If you haven't received anything, pleae check for your spam/junk mail folders. It has been reported in the past that people's mail providers were filtering the registration mail as spam/junk.
Worst case scenario, if after looking everywhere and after 2 full days you haven't found it, then simply go to http://www.turbosquid.com/support and click on the "gmax Registration Code" link. This will give you a registration code on your screen.

I have a problem with the iregistration, It appears a red X what could I do, I have tryed with different codes, and I can`t use the program, please help |

have you tried situation B step 2 where you get a brand new REGISTRATION CODE from turbosquid ?
What happens exactly when you entered it ? Your previous answer makes no sense. |

Ok a few days ago i was using GmaX and I had JUST finished a buetyful stargate model. Then my comp fracked up on my and I lost it all in a restore. So know that my comp is working again, I go and DL GmaX, and it works fine TILL the thing ask for the Code to make it go! :( All it does is give me the red X. I have DL'ed it 3 times, used sevral difrent cods, on meny acounts, cuz I lost all my passwords. and still nothing. PLZ HELP!!!! P.s. Tried everything else. |

OK!!! I FEEL REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY STUPID!!!!!!! I found my problem.
When I restored my comp, I forgot to chabge the date. SOOO! My comp thought it was the 01/01/99
LOL!!! I tried it again and it worked fine. NOW I'm gonna go make a gun to shoot my self... lol jk! |

scyap, this is only the welcoming email thanking you for registering. It is not the one containing the registration code.
Follow the steps I mentioned at the beginning of this thread. |

I dont get any of it and even when i try wat u said like go and get a new registration code it just brings me to the GMAX support page then when i click on register then click on code it takes me back again :S ? so im gonna make a new account |

You don' need a new account. Just go to http://www.turbosquid.com/Support/Index.cfm?stgSupportModule=SupportGmax&FuseAction=GmaxSupportHelp It will give you a new registration code right there. |

Before replying to this thread, PLEASE read all the messages of this thread !!!!!!!!!
I have seen people asking questions that were answered in the beginning of this thread. By not reading the thread you are posting in or by not doing a forum search, you are wasting time to get your answer.
Most of the times, a simple 30 sec of reading will give you your answer instead of posting and geting an answer like "Read this...". What do you prefer, waiting 30 sec or 2 days ? |

hi,
think my problem is i downloaded and installed gmax before registering. so now when i launch gmax it goes straight into the program, i no longer have the pop up appearing for me to paste my code into. i've tried the workaround but that doesnt work either. can you help please. |

hello, id did read the hole thead and i didnt find an answer: i registrated and i did wait for my mail with the password...3 days...still im waiting...how much time does it need, if i will get my mail with the registration code ? BTW:i looked into the spam-folder, but i could not find the mail |

yes, i was there but i cant find a solution for my problem: "You have not yet registered gmax. To register gmax, click here and follow the instructions." I did register. "Need help installing, configuring or using gmax? Please visit our gmax forums." I did. "Be sure to visit the gmax website at www.turbosquid.com/gmax for updates and news." I dont want updates and news but my registration code. |
