classical scaling problem
Posted 30-Jan-2005 11:15 PM

Hello

I've got a number of XSI models that I need to convert. I'm encountering a problem around ths scaling of objects in the file. When I import the dotXSI models into XSI with "classical scaling" on, objects are scales wrong, which is also what happens when I import the files into deep exploration. When I import the files into XSI with "classical scaling" turned off however, then the models look perfect.

I believe softimage has it's own "hierarchical scaling" system, so my question is this: How do I reset the objects so that when I export them they are using traditional scaling so I can convert them properly? Any ideas?

Thank you!

try this:

import dotXSI

keep the object-group select (don't unselect it)

under Model(the Pink one) go down to Model >> new model

and scale the Object-group

not sure if this is what you need help for.
