it would depend on what file format the other game uses - so as long as there is an exporter that gmax can use - what the hey give it a try then let us know how it works (or doesn't)!

ahhhh i see said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and saw

wellllll i'm not exactly sure but it should be as simple as importing the file then exporting it as the file format you want

example: import goober.md3 into 3dexploration then making any corrections (if any) as needed and exporting it as the file goober.3ds

i'm not exactly positive that it is that easy (more than likely its not) but it looks like you will just have to give the ole college try and see what happens unless someone else pipes up with better destructions

did you check out the faq on Gear head Garage it says you need 3dsmax and a prog called "specEd" do you have that little prog?

3dsmax5 you can get a 30day trial from a magazine called 3DWorld Winter Special Edition or maybe even this website Computer Arts Downloads
(hope you have a dvd-rom drive on you comp)

so your best bet would be to go that route

There's an exporter available to save GMax as 3DS,
so the trick is: how to you get TrainSim files into
GMax? You can save GMax files as TrainSim if you
get the TrainSim gamepack.

The $64,000 question is: What does it take to
go the other way, to put a TrainSim file into GMax
for editing/converting?

If you find out, please let us all know. Thanks.

There's a way to convert Train Sim files for use in Train Sim Modeler?

How? I'd be interested. I have TSM and made some models and lost the source files. I'd like to update dome old work.

Greetings From Iraq,

Taking files from MSTS, .s files, for modification or update in gmax or TSM would be the cat's meow!!! I downloaded a Baseball Park from TrainSim.com that fits real well on the route I'm building. The problem is that the field is backward in the Park. It would be a simple thing to turn it around!!!
