This is a Sinclair Gas Station from 1935………..modeled after a restored building in Albany Texas, though this building style and layout was used pretty much nation wide by Sinclair at the time……….many still exist and have found other uses…….fully realized interior spaces…..each room has its own wall geometry, as well as its floor and ceiling, allowing great flexibility in material / texture application…….nice detail on window sash and sill which have inside and outside geometry, as well as window glass object for each opening……..inside and side doors have separate insert panels…..garage doors are fully segmented with overhead tracks…….truss beams in garage space have joint plates as well as fastener details……characters on the building, “sinclair” “lubrication” and “washing” are fully modeled with their own background and frame object………the same is true for the “restroom” sign on the side of the building…………and all the tiles are modeled………..the two pumps out front are nicely detailed Wayne Model 60 units dating from 1935 as well, with the appropriate Sinclair colors and logos (I have this pump available separately elsewhere on this site, though it is in a Polly Gas paint / logo scheme)…..pumps set at 19.9 cents a gallon, the average price in 1935………this would look real good with a nice ‘36 roadster out front……………dimensionally correct within reason, but not an exact reproduction..........this is a zip file with the .max file, a .mat file, and the associated map images………………….
