All images of galery gone rendered from viewport
of 3dsMAx 2012 with Nitrous, less one,was rendered in mental ray, shes flagged, render with oclusion pass composed in soft light multiplier on photoshop, after effects or similar.
the materials are max standard but all works with Mental ray Render. Have a material ready just for oclusion passin Mental ray, he is below the main in material slot editor.

So also its easy with the maps mount the material in any other render that works with these types of maps
