This is a Middle Poly Terrain Model: Snow and Rocks. This is actually 1 Model with 2 variants of texturing.
Terrain consist of: 64 516 faces.
Terrain has simple plane mapping from top. Actually, if you want, you can make yours.
Terrain has materials and texture (in .blend file). For .obj file i will write later. Texture (mountain_texture.jpg) should be in the same folder with main file.
Size of textures is not big- 700x700. Textures have been created with images from CGTextures. This image (texture) may not be redistributed by default, please visit web site of CGTextures for more information.
If you want, you can download from this site bigger version of texture.
Main files are: 2 .blend files (snow and rock), 2 .obj files (snow and rock), 1 .mtl file (for rock) and 1.jpg (texture for rock) file.
For snow file there is no texture- it is just a model with white material. If you want, you can add some noise texture or some another.
Main file for download .zip consists of all this files.
Also .blend file includes mapping in it, as i wrote before. When you will open .obj file in one of 3d programms, you should create material and show path
to texture one more time. To be on safe site, it is better to create planar mapping one more time, with texture 8 times repeated on X and Y (at least in original blender file it i like this).
For example, in 3DS Max you can use UVW Map modifier with planar projection from top.
Textures also should remain in folder with main file. If you want to move it in other place, you should rewrite path to this image.
When you watch rock model with texture from top, you can actually see, that texture repeat itself. So this texture not the best for shooting it from far away. But when you are near terrain or not far away. you really can not see this repeating.
But, as i said before, you can texture this model with you textures as you want!
In any way do not be shy to contact me through site, if you will have some questions or problems.
