This is Mars how it would look like if terraformed. It consists of a model with four different textures: One for the planet (created in Photoshop), an alpha-map for the oceans, a bump-map, and a good cloud-texture. I tried to go for a realistic style, just how the real Mars would look when terraformed.

The planet texture is absolutely realistic. I took the height-data of Mars and used it to create the texture, completely with bays and zones of shallow water.

The model was created with cinema 4d 10.0, so you should be sure that you have this version or higher. Even if you have an older version, you still can use the textures.

I added a second file ('Other>Textures') for those of you who just want the textures, without the model. In this way you can use them in other programs as well. (i.e. 3d Studio Max, Maya, Lightwave ect.)
