synthetic duster 3d max - Duster by Nino van Hooff

Synthetic multi-color duster.
Requires the Hair & Fur Modifier (included in max from ver. 8)
By default the hand grip has 16 sides, resulting in a vertex count of 578. For close-ups this can be easily increased by directly accessing the lathe modifier.
The colors of the hairs are mapped with a gradient map. The colors can be easily adjusted by changing gradient parameters or replacing the map.

Hair count: 20.000 with a multi-strand of 2.
The preview images used 2 Hair&Fur passes for a smoother result.
Use 1 pass to effectively cut render times by 50%.
