This is a silicon based solar panel model. It is also known as a solar collector and a photovoltaic module. Inside this casing are positive and negative thin sheets of silicon stuck together creating an electron field between them that can be used as an alternative energy source. These can be used to power homes, satellites, and individual devices near and far. Often they are seen on rooftops or in arrays when more power is necessary.

Model is created from primitives converted to editable polys. Symmetry modifiers are uncollapsed. Bitmap tile texture is included. Metal texture is a standard material with a procedural bump map. Objects are named.
