The FB-111 was developed from the F-111 to use in a tactical bomber and attack role for close air support.
The FB-111 was developed with the capability of carrying a wide range of weapons including cruise missiles, JDAM, Missiles, many types of dumb bombs and external fuel.
It was employed by the Tactical Air Command in Vietnam and were also used in the attack on Libya in the early 1980s. These were also used in the 1st Persion Gulf War by the US Air Force. These aircraft were retired in 1995 from the USAF but continued with the RAAF until 2005.
This model is built very near to scale. It is a complete update and rebuild from our original model series built in 2006. The model updating was prompted by the request of an aviation museum in Australia, displaying an F-111-G. They were thrilled with this model and others also supplied by Dreamscape. Much more detail, more accuracy and better flight controls are provided in this 90% rebuilt model.
Very little of the original model geometry remains in the new F-111 Aardvark, EF-111 Raven and the FB-111 Aardvark 3d model by Dreamscape. This model is fully textured and includes all the materials and textures you see here. This model has many animateable features including stabilators, flaps, rudder, landing gear retraction and landing gear doors. Canopy can be opened and the cockpit has more detail than the original by far. This model is also available in a wide variety of formats ready for your immediate downloading.
