Ship's Bell

A basic Ship's bell with a wall mounting. Clapper is attached inside and has a brass handle.

Based on an old Navy bell design.

The main body of the bell is UV Mapped. A Photoshop document is enclosed with the UV Map wires and a layer-effect that reproduces the 'chisel' effect on the lettering when used as a bump map. Create the lettering you want for your own ship name, rasterize the text layer, then copy and paste the layer effect from the template layer.

The Blender file contains procedural materials and the lighting set-up for the free raytracer 'Yafaray' but you can substitute any brass and iron material in the 3D application of your choice.

The Blender file also includes the lighting setup used in the renders.
