This character is skinned and rigged in Maya 5 complete. It contains a skin deformation system to add more realistic movement to the skin in areas like the legs, body, tail and neck.
The legs can be switched from FK to IK and blended between using the 3 skeleton method, not the new maya 5 method. This gives the animator more control and FK or IK limbs can be posed at any time.
The tail contains a automatic secondary motion expression which gives the tail a more fluid motion when turned on.
The head and body controls can be translated as well as rotated to give full control to the animator.
