Restoration Hardware - Foucault's Orb Crystal Floor Lamp
The gyroscope created by 19th-century experimental physicist Leon Foucault inspired our openwork globe. Its double-gimbal frame is built of iron around a nucleus of upraised lights, an homage to Foucault's study of the earth's rotation. Glass and crystals, precision-cut and polished for refraction and sparkle, are set within the slim iron frame.
- Iron frame supports 6 curved tubing arms set with light-refracting crystals
- Bobeche and candlestick under each bulb are modeled after a classic candleholder
- Antiqued rust finish bestows a look of age
- Dimmer switch
- Uses six 40W max. candelabra bulbs (sold separately)
- Assembly required; professional installation recommended
- Catalog and Web only
