relief painting sunset 3ds - Relief sunset painting by Mihail Valchev

This is an actual relief painting of a traditional Bulgarian village houses and a tree with stork nest on top of it - made by my grandfather Ivan Ivanov. If there is enough interest, I could make 3d models of many more of his paintings.

Made in 3ds Max 8 and rendered with VRay. VRay materials, lighting and scene setup included in the .max file. The frame and the hook are mid-poly modeling for SubDiv smoothing, the painting is only a box with displacement mapping for a relief.
