The Prithvi Air Defense or PAD missile is an upper tier ballistic missile interceptor, complementing the AAD interceptors lower tier intercept arena. First tested in 2006, this two stage missile features the Prithvi two thruster body and a single thruster guided kill vehicle, providing defense capabilities up to 5000km.
