Pitted Metal 3d Procedural Shader (Compatible back to maya 2009)
The biggest advantages to using 3d procedural shaders:
- You can apply this shader to complex models with out spending hours laying out uv's.
- Limitless variation, no repeating in texture will ever be observed.
- Extremely small memory footprint during render times (Great if you dont have alot of ram)
This download includes 1 .ma file that holds the shader and it's associated nodes as well as a scale
character block out. Model in renders is not included and is only used for demonstration purposes.
I've included the scale character for easy 3dPlacementNode scaling. So if you're importing this shader
into a master scene file, just scale the stick figure mesh to the right size, and the shader's texture
nodes will scale with it.
The scale character mesh is set to not render in any way, so there is no need to delete it before
rendering. However if you want to get rid of it, make sure to unparent the nodes from the stick figure mesh first.
