An accurately scaled and modeled low polygon Piper Cheyenne aircraft. With a polygon count of just 2870 (5290 tris) this model has been professionally developed for simulation and game use. It is properly uv mapped and fully textured. The primary texture is a 2048 x 2048 bitmap which could easily be re-sized to 1024 x 1024 without loss of detail, if required. All control surfaces, including flaps, ailerons, elevators, props, rudders, and landing gear are independent objects for easy animation. There are two included prop versions, one static prop and one spinning opacity mapped prop.
This model is available here in .3ds, .fbx, .flt, .lwo (v 6.0), .max (v 2008), and .obj formats.
The PA-31T Cheyenne is a twin engine aircraft built by Piper Aircraft. The Piper Cheyenne family of turboprop corporate aircraft is based on the popular Navajo and Chieftain piston aircraft. It was produced from 1973 until 1978 when it was replaced by the enlarged PA-42 Cheyenne. It was popular as a small corporate and charter plane and many remain in service today.
