As you should by now be aware, as of 2006 roughly 50% of the world's oil supply has been consumed, a phenomenon known as Peak Oil, or 'Hubbard's Peak' after the geologist who first accurately ploted the rate of global oil depletion. As our heavily oil dependant civilization crosses the peak and oil becomes more and more expensive and difficult to extract, most experts who really understand the implications predict the end of the industrial age.

This model is the first in a series of Peak Oil related models from the Bluebrain 3D Model Library. The pump is animated over 120 frames.

The scene is complete with the lighting and rendering solution used to produce the preview images.

All objects are named well, grouped, and are optimized for import into other programs. Objects have their axis set in the appropiate locations.
