A highly detailed textured model of a Japanese Wakizashi. The wakizashi was the shorter of the two swords worn by samurai in feudal Japan.
This model is very acurate to how real japanese swords are constructed. It has separate objects ( 14 in all ) for each piece including:
Blade with Tang and Habaki ( Blade Collar ). Blade is also made from 3 different pieces just like a real samurai sword.
Saya with Sageo ( Scabbard with hanging cord ) and top and bottom caps
Tsuka ( Handle consisting of traditional cord wrapping over rayskin, Fuchinage and Kashira (top and bottom collars ) )
Tsuba ( Hand guard with two Seppa washers )
Textures Included:
-4 unique 2k blade textures with real temper lines, 4 corresponding bump maps and 4 corresponding alpha maps for controlling reflections
-Various swap-able, tile-able color and bump maps for all other parts
Modeled in Softimage 7.01 with subdivision techniques. Raw polys look good in far shots, smooth once for medium shots, twice for closeups.
