Realistic model of domestic cat. Updated in July 2011. Modeled in 3ds max 2009 and is ready for animation. Textures (diffuse, specular, fur control maps) are of 2048x1626px size. Rigged carefully using biped and ‘skin’.

Fur is native 3ds max’s ‘hair and fur’ modifier and for convenience is grown from low-poly object wrapped to body (polygonal mesh with 'morpher', 'skin', and 'turbosmooth' applied). Stack is intact.

Body mesh consists of 2022 polygons (only 2 triangles, rest is quads) ( Without 'turboSmooth')
All the objects in the scene have 3494 polygons (only 2 triangles)

Rendered with default scanline renderer. No plug-ins needed. 1200x1200 pix image renders approx. 4 minutes on 2.4 GHz dual core, 3 Gb of RAM.

Units - cm. Standing about 22 cm.
