The MTLB is a multipurpose vehicle used by the Russian military; it can be used as an ARC or command vehicle, a prime mover for various types of artillery (and can also carry the artillery crew) frequently for the 100mm antitank gun and also as a cargo & general transport vehicle (it can carry 10 additional personnel). The MTLB amphibious armored tracked vehicle is fully amphibious, propelled in the water by its tracks. In extreme conditions such snow and swamp areas the MTLB can employ an extra-wide-track with an “aggressive” grouser to make over the areas. The MTLB is lightly armed and lightly armored and includes an NBC protection system.
