| This is the kind of ship Danish and Norwegian Vikings used for attacks on England and France. The Skuldelev 2 is an oak-built vikingship, a longship, probably the skeid type. It is approximately 90 feet (30 m) long and 12.4 feet (3.8 m) wide, and could carry a crew of 70-80. The ship was built in Dublin around 1042. This is one of the longest viking-ship ever found.
