This is the model of a japanese fountain with its stone basin, The name of this traditional feature of the japanese garden is 'shishiodoshi' , while the stone basin receiving the water is called 'tsukubai'. the ancient function of this fountain was to scare deer off the garden so that they would not eat the fresh sprouts. this was accomplished by making the water flow from one bamboo piece to the other creating a rythmical sound.
The model is simple yet complete in every part, with the bamboo pieces and fountain structure being very detailed. It can be easily animated with particle water or used for landscape design. Beside the fountain, we have some stones and small plants, and a wide base of pebbles, so the model can be ready-inserted in a model in a natural way.
