The Marine Protector Class 87-foot Coastal Patrol Boat carries 10 crew. Dual 1500-horsepower MAN diesel engines provide a 25-knot cruise speed. Armed with two 50-caliber machine guns. A diesel-powered, jet-drive RIB (rigid inflatible boat) can be launched and retrieved from a ramp at the stern in seas up to 8 feet.
