century furniture design. The chair has a rich
history and has played a vital role in the Danish
Modern movement. The Wishbone Chair is
clearly Wegner’s most internationally successful
work, and has been part of homes throughout
the world for six decades. One of the very first
chairs he conceived for serial production. Carl
Hansen & Son has produced the chair without
interruption since 1950.Designed by one of the giants of Danish Design, his love
and understanding of wood was virtually unparalleled to others. Worked very hard so that both the quality and
craftsmanship would be maintained. All the wood comes from renewable, sustainable sources. Built to last a lifetime. Each chair is strung with 120m of papercord.
