The waisted table is made of huanghuali wood.The panel is made of a single piece of nanmu wood,and such large piece of wood is very rare.The straight legs end in beautifully shaped inward-curving horse hoof feet.
There are c-curved braces,known as giant's arm braces,are tenoned into the legs and underside of the two stretchers,mortised and tenoned into the frame construction.This kind of joinery not only helps reinforce the
stability of legs but also brings more storing space under the frame top.It is a good example to prove the scientific designs of the Ming-style furniture.
