Triceratops is a herbivore that shared the late Cretaceous Period (65-68 million years ago) with T-Rex and is instantly recognisable by it's three horns and the bony frill at the rear of the skull. It is the best known genus of Ceratopsidae (Ceratopsid dinosaur), a group which also includes Torosaurus, Styracosaurus and Chasmosaurus, amongst many others. They are estimaed to have reached lengths of 7.8 to 9.0m and 2.8 to 3.0m in height, weighing in at an estimated 8.0 to 12.0 tonnes.
