By the easy use of this Collection of static Seascapes, and its many elements, you can obtain a very large range of sea scenes, usefull to position and enhance your marine or architectural models.
The sailing boat present in the Thumbnails is not supplied with the Seascape but can be bought separately under the name 'Latin Sail Boat'.
A big set of wave tables is supplied, easy to be imported, varying in height and length.
Veritable textures joined improve results; further, you are free to replace the flat Sea-Bottom supplied with a more shaped ground, creatings rocks and island.
Present Seascapes are given with five different detail levels, allowing renders for large screens, movies or HDMI TV, PCs and Video Games.
Elements composing each scene are three only: one Sky (in different tones), one Sea-Bottom (coral-seaweed or sand-posidonia), one Sea-Surface table (many wave file are supplied, changing waves in heigth and length).
Seascape-Base.max file starts with a uniform-diffuse-color Ocean, but sea waves can be painted with the seven supplied textures to obtain a more trusty effect.
The supplied Sea Meshes have a dimension of 200m x 200m, but are specially shaped to simulate the earth curvature reproducing a landscape extending just to the horizon, with waves reducing in scale with distance.
The result is a complete Seascape as it can be seen from the shore with a photo lens of 35mm; any longer lens can be used, although the camera position can not be varied too much to maintain realism of the perspective; present camera elevation is about 10m above sea level.
Sea-Surfaces .obj files to be Imported are given with 5 resolution levels (higher the resolution, higher the number of polygons and memory use):
res 16 512x512 quads 262144 verts 263180
res 14 392x392 quads 153664 verts 154460
res 12 288x288 quads 82944 verts 83532
res 10 200x200 quads 40000 verts 40412
res 8 128x128 quads 16384 verts 16652
Polygons No. varies from 80004 (res 8) to 524292 (res 16);
Vertices No. varies from 40009 (res 8) to 263177 (res 16).
Sea-Surfaces represent sea waves with Heigth of abuot:
10cm, 50cm, 1m, 2m, 4m, 8m
and Distance within waves within 12 and 30m
generally two distances for each height are given.
In the .obj files Height is shown as 'h' and Distance as 'd'.
