Ka 50 is Russian new generation of attack helicopters produced as a result of competition for new attack helicopter requirements by Russian army, ka 50 is the winner of the competition above mil 28, both helicopters proven very agile and combat capable but ka 50 won because of better avionics and armament. Ka 50 armed with 30mm GSH 30 cannon most widely used cannon in Russian army, 12 Vichr laser guided missals and 80 of 40 mm unguided rockets. Ka 50 heavy armour designed especially for mission with high concentrations of AAA. Most of life systems able to withstand direct hit from 30mm shells. Also equipped with ejection seat to ensure of pilot survival in case imminent helicopter crush, the manageability is second to none making possible to manuvre helicopter with overloads over 4Gs and making dead loops. The twin rotor atop instead of classic tail rotor system makes ka 50 perhaps the most stable gun platform in the world, to ensure better stability cannon was placed close the middle of helicopter, that has limited the aiming radius of the cannon but great accuracy more than makes up for it.
