Description
EMC mbzh 0,6-1 kV 3x16 + afas16 mm2

VFD screened halogenfree installation cable

NEN: Z1S-YMz1Kafasmbzh 0,6/1kV rss

Application:
· Specially designed as a halogen free cable for feeding variable frequency driven (VFD) engines, for application on both primary and secundary engine side
· Also very suitable for feeding systems, which are susceptible to electromagnetic disturbances
· Can be applied in unfavourable conditions, like an increased ambient temperature, and in cable bundles
· Additional mechanical protection should be applied when laid in the ground

Properties regarding fire performance:
· Halogen free, in accordance with NEN-EN 50267 (IEC 60754)
· Low smoke, in accordance with NEN-EN-IEC 61034
· Flame retardant, in accordance with NEN-EN 50266-2-4 (IEC 60332-3-24 cat. C)
· Self-extinguishing, in accordance with NEN-EN-IEC 60332-1

General properties:
· Very good screening of electromagnetic disturbances to the surroundings
· The screening can also be used as protective earthing lead

Remarks:
· The copper wire braiding of the screen needs to be earthed in a gland. For this, special VFD-glands are available
· The copper foil is to be removed in the gland
· Earthing of the screen is done two-sided
· For the calculation of the conductor diameter the higher harmonics, caused by the variable frequency drives (VFD's), must be taken in to account. The temperature rise of the conductor can be higher than in case of sinusoidal currents
· The VFD cabinet should be very well earthed in accordance with the regulations of the manufacturer
· For cross-section of 35 mm² and above see HULTOFLEX-EMC MBZH

Construction:
Conductor: stranded plain annealed copper, round
Insulation: cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE)
