features: polygons are greatly reduced while details are still maintained. More sturcutures added to make it walkthroughable. Some maps are remade to make it look better. Overall quality increased greatly while price remained unchanged. Previous buyers are encouraged to download this version.
Carnival Spirit (Carnival Cruise Lines)
Tonnage: 85900 gross tons. Length: 292 meters. Beam: 38.8 meters
Polygons: 272767 Triangles: 566083 (these numbers are counted without decoration chairs and tables)
The model looks very much like the real ship(google it if you don't believe), but does not 100% resemble every real ship parts.
The control unit is made on look-alike bases. Those meters as well as readings are not accurate representation of the real ship.
Model is made in correct unit scale in 3dsMax. But some other applications MIGHT need to scale it bigger or smaller.
This ship model is walk_throughable. You can walk from the control room to the aft section. Besides, there is even an elevator section (in the middle of ship that can take you from top to bottom so you can walk out on the bridge down (where lifeboats are) It does not show on the preview file. Find it as a surprise:-)
Material and Rendering:
new preview pictures are rendered by Vray But the model is devrayed to make it compatible with most 3d applications. We have properly named the materials. So for visual enhancing materials like GLASS,CHROME,POOLWATER. You should replace them with materials of your own liking. I also recommend adding some falloff reflection to most materials.
There is no multi_material used in the model for better compatibility with all 3d application.
Seawater(just a big plane) and HDRI cloud used in the new renders are not included in the package
Naming & SmoothingGroup:
models are all properly named like (center chairs 1,2,3...) (control_room_parts1,2,3...)(aft_pool_parts1,2,3...) By combining with 'select by material' you can select any parts quickly in any 3d application.
All objects are edge-splitted based on smoothing group assignment. So even if some applications don't treat smoothinggroup nicely can handle this model. Of course this will increase the vertex count but you can weld it back if you like.
