Medical Description:

Lumbar is an adjective that means of or pertaining to the abdominal segment of the torso, between the diaphragm and the sacrum (pelvis). The lumbar region is sometimes referred to as the lower spine. In human anatomy the five vertebrae in the lumbar region of the back are the largest and strongest in the movable part of the spinal column, and can be distinguished by the absence of a foramen in the transverse process, and by the absence of facets on the sides of the body. In most mammals, the lumbar region of the spine curves outward.

This is a good model which we used as a base for our finite element analysis of a new lumbar spine implant. The attention to shape detail was perfect however the model was a bit smaller than average. We aren''t sure if this was due to our own import mistake or was something with the original file so we will give the benefit of doubt and rate 5 stars. The model was converted to our requested format before purchasing - excellent help from TurboSquid.
