This model has a clean geometry based on quads and loops.

The Maya 2009 formats are set with the '3' button for the geometry approximation preview and render.
For Obj and Fbx versions you would need to run a polysmooth to get the same maya 2009 result.
Obj versions are directly exported from Maya with textures assigned (.mtl file)
FBX versions are directly exported from Maya with textures assigned
All formats (.ma.mb.obj.fbx) polycount (quads): 10630
The Fur is made with Shave and A Haircut for Maya 2009 so you would need that software to render the fur out.
The actual rendering time is about 2 minute for an 1200x1200 frame (rendered on a system based on intel pentium quadcore with 8 gigs ram)
6 different hair systems for a total of 50k hair prims.
The Shave and Haircut Fur is included in each MAYA 2009 format (ma/mb).
The OBJ and FBX formats don't include the Shave and Haircut Fur.
