This is a model of Germany's WWII missile, the V-2. Designed by Wernher von Braun and built and tested at the Peenemunde facility on the Baltic coast, it was Hitler's last chance to inflict serious damage and cause panic in his European enemies. This model includes not only the outer structure, but also a highly detailed and accurate model of the engine. The warhead, gyros, fuel tanks, combustion chamber, nitrogen and hydrogen peroxide cylinders, and alcohol and oxygen pipes have all been accurately recreated. Additionally, it includes a model of the 'meillerwagen,' the device used to transport the V-2 to mobile launch sites. It includes textures for the black-and-white and camouflage (June 1943 test pattern) configurations. The scene is not included. I have researched von Braun for several years and even interviewed a member of his team and finally decided to model this.
